  1. This was very poorly ran this year. Children and families who followed the understood rule to stand in line waiting to get in were often passed up by groups of 10 people or more joining the line in front with people they "knew." Disrespectful citizens of the town wouldn't even leave the line to light their cigarettes up. One of which, held his cigarette eye level with my 2 year old, almost burning him on several occasions. As we decided to take cause with others leaving the "safety" zone, we discovered 6 teenage boys hiding behind something in a gazebo and they were smoking but it wasn't a tobacco smell coming from there.

So much for a safety zone. Appears our Mayor is one massive failure. Let her go back to running her business and let someone who can help the town function in events labeled as "Safety zones" actually be safe.

  2. My family and I are from Gainesville, Ga. We come up every year for the Halloween costume contest. We absolutely LOVE it. The guy who, I guess you would say, hosts it... Love him! He done a fabulous job this year. (2011) WAY TO GO BLUERIDGE! We look forward to making many more trips up Highway 60 for many more years!
